47114 a former prototype class 48 locomotive

Cut up At Booths scrapyard, Rotherham.

Well, not enough interest I'm afraid, so unfortunately the loco was cut up in 2005.  It was probably too late, sorry, it was too late to come with an idea of this nature, but then if you don't give it a go, nothing is ever achieved. I knew it was a long shot, but the thought of having a unique loco preserved was too good a chance to miss. Not knowing how to build a website didn't help, although I did do a course in order to learn, but that then gave me even more work to do!

Its a shame it wasn't saved, as given time I'm quite sure a LVA engine would have fitted, even if not in original form.
